Have you ever wanted to view a Word document quickly without waiting for Microsoft Word to launch? You can force TeachText 7.0 to view any kind of document by using File Sender Pro.
Have you ever gotten a new program which accepts drag-n-drop opening of files yet the Finder won't let you drag a file onto it? File Sender Pro solves this problem without having to waste time rebuilding your desktop.
Have you ever wanted to open some text files in TeachText, some in BBEdit, and others in Word Perfect? Although this can be accomplished with aliases *most* of the time, your desktop can get cluttered with too many aliases. File Sender Pro solves this problem because it is only one application which contains the alias information for multiple applications. You can use File Sender Pro to drag-and-drop files, folders, and volumes to be sent to any open or closed application just as if you did it onto the actual application icon (or alias) itself. You also get the added bonus of drag-and-drop printing which is impossible with aliases.
Δ Tips and Useful Information Δ
• If a key is held down while you drag a file onto File Sender Pro from the Finder, File Sender Pro will immediately send the file(s) to that application, launching it if necessary. If a key is pressed that was not defined to be linked to an application, the file(s) will be sent to the first open application whose first letter of the application's name corresponds to the key being pressed. Note that in this process File Sender Pro will quit if it was just launched, but if it was already open and the “Quit after Send/Launch” checkbox is off, then File Sender Pro will stay open in the background as the file(s) are sent.
• Holding down the Command key while File Sender is launched will cause the item(s)
to be printed (instead of opened) by default.
• Although you can use any key for an application's command key, plain letters and control-letter command keys are preferred because of their ease of viewing.

This utility may be distributed via on-line services, BBSes and user groups provided that it is not altered in ANY way and there in no charge for the software, except a nominal copying fee. Commercial software distributors (BMUG, EduCorp, etc.) may include this program in their collections provided that: (a) they keep the application and documentation together, (b) they include the latest version (and upgrade it when a new version becomes available), (c) they tell me that they are doing so (and preferably give me a copy of the collection it is in, though this is not vital).
